Muhammad Mokaev Unleashes Tirade On ‘Animal’ Paddy Pimblett, Promotional Antics: ‘He’s Too Much’

Paddy Pimblett

Surging UFC flyweight prospect, Muhammad Mokaev has unleashed a lenghty tirade aimed in the direction of the outspoken, Paddy Pimblett – labelling the Liverpool native an “animal” for his polarizing promotional tactics during his Octagon tenure.

Mokaev, touted as one of the biggest talents and prospects in professional mixed martial arts today, landed his second UFC victory last Saturday night on the preliminary card of UFC London – defeating former LFA champion, Charles Johnson with a largely one-sided unanimous decision win.

As for Pimblett, the former Cage Warriors featherweight champion landed lightweight win number three during his 10 month Octagon run on the main card of the O2 Arena event, submitting Jordan Leavitt with a second round rear-naked choke.

Muhammad Mokaevs questions Paddy Pimblett as a role model for the younger generation

However, Pimblett, was the subject of a verbal attack from Mokaev during the latter’s media availability, who criticized the Next Generation MMA staple for his promotional antics ahead of UFC London, referring to Pimblett as an “animal”.

“He (Paddy Pimblett) pulls his pants down – a man doesn’t do this, women don’t do this stuff,” Muhammad Mokaev told assembled media at UFC London. “Pulls his pants down, gets far, drinks beer, like (an) animal. Men in Liverpool – I know real Scouse people, they don’t do stuff like this. This guy is just too much. I’m not a hater, I just want to see the younger generation follow real men.”

“If you talk about U.K. guys, there’s Tom Aspinall, there’s Arnold Allen, Leon Edwards – men of the world of what they’re doing,” Muhammad Mokaev continued. “They will back you up. Not this guy (Paddy Pimblett). (He) walk behind security, when he sees a camera, then he’s like a real guy, but when there’s no camera, he’s hiding. I see this. I know this energy.”

Earlier this year, IMMAF veteran and decorated amateur, Mokaev made his promotional bow at UFC London in March, submitting Cody Durden with a highlight-reel 58-second guillotine triumph at the O2 Arena.
