Max Holloway calls out Conor McGregor to run it back: “We can do it at any weight”
Max Holloway is game to run it back with former UFC double champion Conor McGregor at any weight when the latter returns to the octagon.
Earlier this year at UFC 326, Holloway lost his BMF title to Charles Oliveira in a rematch. The Hawaiian has promised to win his next and get back into title contention again, real quick.

And now, “Blessed” has called out McGregor for a rematch when the 37-year-old makes his much-anticipated return. He said:
“Conor got one over me. He’s talking about coming back. I’m coming off a loss… If he doesn’t want to cut weight, then I don’t wanna cut weight. We can do it at any weight; it’s just about getting it back. At the end of the day, that would be a fun fight.”

The pair last clashed in 2013, where the Irishman cruised to a unanimous decision win.

However, McGregor has been out of action for nearly five years now. Most recently, he was officially cleared to fight after completing an 18-month suspension for violating anti-doping policy.
The Dubliner is rumored to return in July on the International Fight Week card and has already been called out by numerous lightweights and welterweights.
McGregor vs. Holloway would be a thrilling slugfest if “Blessed” could make 170 pounds. Otherwise, a catchweight bout somewhere between 155 and 170 pounds could be the perfect compromise.
MMA manager hints at potential Conor McGregor vs. Paddy Pimblett bout
Paddy Pimblett has also expressed interest in fighting Conor McGregor and is even willing to move up to welterweight to do so. Meanwhile, Ali Abdelaziz, someone who absolutely despises McGregor, believes Pimblett will beat the Irishman in 2026. Earlier today on X, Abdelaziz quipped.
“Paddy Pimblett, I believe he will beat Conor McGregor in 2026. This will make me very happy 😊”
Pimblett suffered his first loss in the UFC earlier this year against Justin Gaethje. He took heavy damage in that bout and was dropped numerous times. Following extensive recovery and rehabilitation, “The Baddy” expects to fight again in the summer and would love to face McGregor.
