Leon Hill Climbs Towards Welterweight Gold At Cage Warriors 200

Leon Hill vs Aldo Pereira

Feisty finisher Leon Hill has a 100% finish rate across nine professional wins and wants to make it 10/10 at Cage Warriors 200.

Within the first minute Hill found himself on top of Aldo Pereira but bailed as the Brazilian fished for a nasty leg lock. Hill engaged in the grappling once again but was understandably cautious. Repeatedly Pereira was hunting for Irish legs but it was Hill that nearly locked in a submission as he slickly moved to the back however nothing came from it. As they returned to the stand up the size of Hill was striking as he towered over Pereira and smashed kicks into the Brazilian’s abdomen.

It was a chaotic start to round 2 with both men swinging wildly on the feet catching each other with whistling blows. After the first exchange Hill began to prowl towards Pereira and dropped him with a right. That spelled the beginning of the end as Hill meticulously took Pereira apart, tripping him on multiple occasions and eventually it was a flush knee the crumbled his opponent to the canvas.

The referee waved the bout off at 3:16 of the second round after a very professional performance by the Irish welterweight in his eighth Cage Warriors fight.
