Huge Upset! Tanio Pagliariccio Silences Crowd At Cage Warriors 200

Ger Harris vs Tanio Pagliariccio

Fierce flyweight Ger Harris aimed to stake his claim at a Cage Warriors title shot with a victory in Dublin against Tanio Pagliariccio.

Throughout the first round Harris initiated the clinch up against the cage but found little success. The game plan was clear for Harris to use his great grappling and heavy wrestling to slow down Pagliariccio. Compared to the rest of the card the first round lacked that spark even with the Irishman seemingly in control.

Harris began the second round in similar fashion but after a rebuttal from the Italian looked to use his striking game. A low blow from Harris in the clinch stopped the action but Pagliariccio opted to return to action relatively quickly. Minutes later again, the Italian screams to an alleged low blow against the cage but Marc Goddard waves it off. It was another quiet round with nothing significant taking place, however Harris returned to the corner with a small cut above his eye.

The third round ignited midway through as the Italian got the back of Harris before the irishman threw him across the cage. Harris was bleeding heavily from that cut and was wiping at his eyes. Still pushing forward with a crimson mask the Irish flyweight contender still searched for the takedown but without success a final flurry close out the round.
