Justin Gaethje believes he will headline the UFC White House event against Ilia Topuria
On The Pat McAfee Show, Justin Gaethje stated that he believes he will headline the mega June 14 event against Ilia Topuria for the undisputed UFC lightweight championship. He said:
“It has to be [Topuria at the White House]. No other option. Walking out of the Oval Office, into the cage, wearing the flag. I think we are going to main event it.”
The UFC White House Card is rumored to have 6-7 title fights, and Topuria vs. Gaethje could definitely be on the list. On the other hand, the company’s biggest draw, Conor McGregor, also wants to return and fight on the South Lawn of the White House, and Gaethje says he is open to facing ‘The Notorious’ too.
“If it’s McGregor, then McGregor’s going to fight me, and we will be the main event anyway.”
