Jorge Masvidal Provides Health Update, Wants A Fight

Jorge Masvidal

UFC welterweight contender Jorge Masvidal is healthy and ready for a return to the octagon, but he’s allegedly having issues finding an opponent.

Masvidal was supposed to face Leon Edwards at UFC 269 for his return after back-to-back losses to Kamaru Usman. Just weeks away from the bout, Masvidal pulled out of the fight due to a rib injury.

But despite just recently suffering a rib injury just months ago, he appeared ready and willing to make his triumphant return to the UFC. During a video posted to his YouTube channel, Masvidal accused the UFC roster of running from a fight with him.

“I’m off the injury list, and these little b*tches don’t want to sign the contract,” Masvidal said. “The contracts have been handed. It’s in their f*cking face. They know I’m off the injury list. I’m trying to get some paychecks, but meanwhile, since I can’t rip these b*tches up, I’m going to go rip these mountains up.” (h/t MMA Junkie)

Jorge Masvidal Went On To Call Out Conor McGregor, Colby Covington

Despite Masvidal’s apparent difficulties to find a fight, he has two specific names in line for his return; Conor McGregor and Colby Covington.

“To the little b*tch that sells cheap-ass whiskey, to the fragile motherf*cker that’s always getting his face broken – all you little b*tches can get it, man.”

Masvidal is looking to get back in the win column after getting knocked out by Usman at UFC 261. Before that, he had lost a short-notice fight against Usman last summer via a unanimous decision.

There is a plethora of potential suitors for a Masvidal fight. He’s also been back-and-forth with Jake Paul on social media, and a boxing match with him may also be on the table.

Masvidal’s return brings more star power to the welterweight division, as he looks to climb the ladder of the rankings once again.
