Conor McGregor “Boxing is Great” “But I am [BKFC]”

Conor McGregor

Conor McGregor has a healthy appreciation for Queensberry Rules, but there is something about bare-knuckle boxing that seems to light a certain fire inside him. BKFC’s partial owner enthusiastically retweeted a clip of Jeremy Stephens and Mike Perry bantering to promote their headlining fight at BKFC 82.

It’s an intriguing card for BKFC‘s first foray into New Jersey, with former UFC champion Frankie Edgar also making his debut in gloveless combat on that October 4th card.

The two men trash-talked each other ahead of their King of Violence title fight with some loose mentions about wanting to fight McGregor himself someday, interspersed into the earlier parts of the clip shared by the DAZN Sport X account. Via his personal X account @TheNotoriousMMA, McGregor said,

“Listen, boxing is great and all, but I am @bareknucklefc ! Another level of excitement and anticipation altogether! This October 4th, LIVE FROM THE PRUDENTIAL CENTER, NEW JERSEY! 17’000 screaming BARE KNUCKLE FANS! Brought to you by @ForgedStout. The World’s Creamiest Stout [clover emoji] LFG!”

Conor McGregor is also stoked about the UFC White House event

While Conor McGregor is demonstrably passionate about Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship, he still has a lot of love for mixed martial arts, with a continually professed desire to return. The former two-division UFC champion has, in fact, mapped out a specific event he wants to return to with McGregor, focusing on that UFC card at the White House.

Donald Trump has mapped out an event to celebrate the 250th birthday of the United States with some June cage fights, and McGregor seems keen to be part of it. McGregor has not fought since July 2021, when he snapped his leg in a trilogy clash against Dustin Poirier. Speaking to TMZ about the unique card set for Summer 2026, McGregor stated,

“I’m very happy that it’s June. It was on in July, now it’s a month earlier. Even better! Bring it to April, why not? Let’s celebrate the birthday early. I celebrate my birthday months in advance. That’s a definitely [I’m fighting at the White House]. For sure. That’s my event. That’s my event for sure.”
