It looks like Bethe Correia vs Miesha Tate will involve some ‘punches to the mouth’ at 135 pounds….

UFC women’s bantamweight Bether Correia has racked up an impressive 3-0 promotional record in the past 10 months; retiring Julie Kedzie and knocking off two of the “Four Horsewomen” in Jessyman Duke and Shayna Baszler. “Pitbull” has therefore built up a beef with women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey, but “Rowdy” isn’t the only one that wants a piece of Correia.

Perennial contender Miesha Tate recently called out feisty Brazilian striker, and it certainly hasn’t fallen on deaf ears. Check out what “Pitbull said to FOX Sports in response to “Cupcake”:

But everyone knows me and knows how I am, I never back away from a fight, I am Bethe Correia. I never run from a challenge. Whoever challenges me make sure to use a good mouthpiece because I’ll answer to it in the Octagon with punches to the mouth.””

Tate is fresh off a decision win over Rin Nakai in Japan, extending her win streak to two having decisioned Liz Carmouche in April. With the champion tied up with a booking against Cat Zingano, Bethe Correia vs Miesha Tate is starting to make a lot of sense, and could well be classed as a contender match. Not that the rankings mean squat right now.
