when is arman tsarukyan next fight

UFC lightweight contender Arman Tsarukyan has once again made his case for why he should be the one to face Ilia Topuria in the wake of his win at UFC Qatar.

On Saturday night, Arman Tsarukyan made it look pretty easy against Dan Hooker. While some felt as if ‘Hangman’ would be able to pull off the upset, Arman quickly made it clear that he was going to be the one pushing the pace throughout the course of their main event collision. In the end, it was a second round submission that served as the final nail in the coffin as Tsarukyan picked up the win.

Immediately after the fight, Arman Tsarukyan once again made it crystal clear that he wants to take on Ilia Topuria for the UFC lightweight championship. It’s certainly a fight that seems to be gathering some momentum but at the same time, Justin Gaethje and Paddy Pimblett also seem to be lined up to get this opportunity, both of whom could be seen as bigger draws for a title fight.

In his post-fight press conference appearance, Arman Tsarukyan had the following to say about a Topuria fight and why he feels like he is the real number one contender.

Arman Tsarukyan demands title shot

“You know, my goal is a title fight. For this year, the job is done, but I’m focused on the title. I came here just to show everybody that I’m the real contender, number one, and I want to fight for the title and I have to fight for that.”

“I didn’t want to mention too much earlier because I was focused on my fight, but after today I’m going to try again to create some crazy videos that are going to be viral and try to make a joke, you know, to bring a lot of eyes to that fight. It’s a media sport too. You’ve got to be a good fighter and also a good showman.”

Either way, it doesn’t feel like Arman is going to let this one go – and given his big win, that’s the right move.
