19-Year-Old Alice Pereira Comes Up Short in Octagon Debut – Noche UFC Highlights
Alice Pereira’s anticipated debut at Noche UFC delivered a lackluster result for the highly touted prospect.
Pereira spent much of the opening round circling away from Rendon, who put the 19-year-old on her back foot immediately and never let up. That trend continued for much of the second round, eliciting boos from the live crowd in San Antonio.

After stumbling Pereira with a shove, Rendon practically chased down Pereira, unleashing a series of strikes that had Pereira clinch up. With Rendon finding some success with the dirty boxing, Pereira shot for a desperation takedown. Rendon sprawled with ease and reversed position, taking Pereira’s back with under a minute to go. Unable to cinch in a rear-naked choke, Rendon was content to pepper Pereira with some strikes just before the bell.

Pereira came out looking to grapple in the third, but Rendon fended off her attempts, forcing Pereira to stay on her bicycle. Rendon rode out the rest of the round pressuring Pereira, ultimately handing the Brazilian her first career loss and spoiling her long-awaited UFC debut.
Official Result: Montserrat Rendon def. Alice Pereira via split decision (28-29, 29-28, 30-27).
