UFC on Fuel TV 3 Post-Fight Press Conference: The Korean Zombie earns two awards

UFC on Fuel TV 3 brought an incredibly action-packed card to the table. A total of 4,592 fans attended the event live from the Patriot Center in Fairfax, Va.,The gate totaled $343,175. While it did possess the lowest attendance of the 3 UFC on Fuel TV broadcasts, it presented a main event that is an early candidate for Fight of the Year in Chan Sung Jung vs. Dustin Poirier.

Much has been made of the perceived poor ratings for last week’s UFC on Fox event. Falling on Cinco de Mayo, both Lorenzo Fertitta and Dana White have made it a point to address the ratings and stated that they are not worried about the popularity of the UFC falling off. We will see how the latest figures for the Fuel TV broadcast bodes for the UFC.

We saw an absolute war as the main event, and we may have seen the next Featherweight title challenger in “The Korean Zombie.” Regardless of the attendance figures, UFC on Fuel TV 3 was a success, and the bonuses were well-earned last evening.
