UFC on FOX 17 Bonuses: Dos Anjos, Diaz Bank Big
Featuring an exciting mix of budding stars and impressive finishes, tonight’s (Sat., December 19, 2015) UFC on FOX 17 from the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida, made it tough for UFC executives to decide who deserved the post-fight bonuses.
Not surprisingly, lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos received the first ,000 “Performance of the Night” bonus for his shocking 66-second stoppage over Donald Cerrone after he rocked ‘Cowboy’ with a vicious body kick and some lightning-fast follow-up punches.
“””Fight of the Night” deservedly went to lightweights Nate Diaz and Michael Johnson, where Diaz won via unanimous decision after unloading a nonstop barrage of accurate strikes to outclass ‘Menace.’ After the fight, Diaz looked to build up a huge fight with Conor McGregor.
The final $50,000 “Performance of the Night” bonus went to Vicente Luque for his slick submission wi over Hayder Hassan on the prelims.
