The UFC and poker are two things that you think would never cross paths. However, since the UFC is based in Vegas, it’s normal to see people from the fighting world playing poker.

Some fighters have even competed in high stakes tournaments, which makes fans wonder which UFC stars have competed? Here are a few UFC fighters and personalities, who play poker professionally. 

Bruce Buffer

While Bruce Buffer is not a fighter, the voice of the UFC is probably the promotion’s most prominent poker player. Whenever Bruce is getting fans pumped for the fights, he plays poker professionally.

For years, Buffer has taken part in the WSOP tournament held in Vegas every year. On top of playing in poker’s biggest tournament, Bruce also competes around the world in big poker tournaments.

Many notable pro poker players have praised Buffer for his skill and say he’s always a threat at the card table.

But what you may not know about Colby is that he is turning into quite the exceptional poker player. Covington has been taking part in some of the biggest poker tournaments held in Florida.

Big stack games, which have attracted some of the best poker players from around the world. In the last tournament Colby participated in, he took home around $75k in winnings.

Georges St. Pierre

Georges St. Pierre

Georges St. Pierre is one of the greatest UFC fighters in the history of the sport. He was able to win multiple world titles in his stellar career.

GSP also happens to be one of the best UFC fighters who play poker. The UFC legend got the bug for poker, because he equates many of the elements of poker to fighting.

Like in fighting, Pierre tries to read his opponents and react to any moves they make. Georges has competed in multiple WSOP and WSOPE events.

Randy Couture is another UFC legend, who found his way to the poker table. Being a resident of Las Vegas, the transition to playing poker came easy for the UFC Hall of Famer.

Couture has competed in various celebrity and pro/am tournaments over the years. This includes. He has also been sponsored by some of the biggest online poker websites in the world. 

Randy also routinely plays in charity tournaments, which includes the annual G.I. Foundation charity poker tournament.

Dan Henderson

Just like his long-time friend, The Natural, UFC legend, Dan Henderson is also an avid poker player. Like GSP, Dan enjoys the cerebral nature of poker and translates his fighting skills to the poker table.

Dan has participated in numerous celebrity tournaments with some of the sport’s top pros. This includes PokerGO’s After Dark series, where he played with both Randy Couture and Bruce Buffer.
