Travis Browne Looking Forward To Putting On A Show Against Alistair Overeem

Travis Browne bounced back from his brutal TKO loss to Antonio Silva at UFC on FX in October, with a savage KO win of his own against Gabriel Gonzaga at TUF 17 finals. With the win, Browne has put himself back in to relevant competition and will take a step towards a title shot with a fight against Alistair Overeem.travis browne

The match, which is set to take place at UFC on FS1 in Boston, will pit two heavy hitting Goliaths against eachother in a highly anticipated bout. Check out what Hapa had to say about the fight via MMAJunkie:

“I like to just kind of go out there and just get right to it. I haven’t been known to be the biggest strategist, I guess you could say. We’re just going to go out there and do what we do.”

“I haven’t even talked to Coach (Greg) Jackson about a gameplan yet, so I really don’t even have a gameplan set up yet. We’re just going to go out there, and it’s going to be another vintage Travis Browne fight.”

A vintage Travis Browne fight means there are going to be plenty of fireworks, and with a K-1 level striker like Reem-we could be in for a really exciting scrap.

“I’ve never been one to raise my hand and say, ‘Hey, guys, it might be my turn,” said Browne . “For me, I want to let the UFC speak for me. I want them to be confident and put me in a place where they know that it’s the right place for me.

“I’m not one to sit here and ask and beg and plead for something that they don’t want. It’s not my company. I work for them, and I look forward to putting on shows.”

I can’t wait for this one, and if it gets out of round one I really will eat my hat. Stay tuned to Lowkick!
