Travis Browne Possibly Faces Matt Mitrione Next

Following the UFC announcing that Travis Browne was investigated and cleared following an alleged domestic dispute with his wife. The UFC is already looking to book him for his next fight.

According to Ariel Helwani, the UFC plans to book Browne vs. Matt Mitrione next. However, there was no date for the bout mentioned.

Travis Browne (17-4-1) is 4-2 in his last six bouts. He is currently on a one-fight losing streak. In his last bout, he was knocked out in the first-round by Andrei Arlovski at UFC 187.

Matt Mitrione (9-4) is currently on a one-fight losing streak. In his last six bouts, he’s 4-2 and in his last bout he was submitted by Ben Rothwell at UFC Fight Night 68.

With all of the controversy surrounding Browne, it will be interesting to see when or if the UFC will even book him anytime soon.

A company never wants bad publicity especially with the well-documented history of the UFC’s early days. Media loves to pick on MMA, so the UFC has to be wise when they book Browne’s next fight. Just look at the way they handled his alleged domestic dispute with his wife.
