Stephen Thompson vs. Johny Hendricks Full Fight Video Highlights
Surging UFC welterweight Stephen Thompson came up big in the most important fight of his life when he destroyed former champion Johny Hendricks in the main event of tonight’s (Sat., February 6, 2016) UFC Fight Night 82 from MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The previously No. 8-ranked ‘Wonderboy’ came into the featured bout with the momentum of his highlight reel knockout of Jake Ellenberger, but many thought ‘Bigg Rigg’ would neutralize his flashy striking with his vaunted wrestling pedigree. They were wrong, however, as Hendricks missed his only takedown attempt of the fight before eating a steady torrent of powerful and accurate shots that ended in the first-ever knockout loss of his MMA career.
