The undefeated light heavyweight announced himself in spectacular fashion at UFC Abu Dhabi, stopping veteran Dustin Jacoby late in the second round to extend his perfect record and score the biggest victory of his career.
“Kubik” looked composed from the opening bell despite accepting the fight on short notice. Rather than allowing the experienced kickboxer to dictate the striking exchanges, the UFC newcomer mixed his attacks with leg kicks, body shots, sharp combinations, and spinning techniques that repeatedly caught Jacoby off guard. His speed and movement consistently created openings as he comfortably outworked the former Glory standout throughout the first round.
The pressure only intensified after the break. Saidov continued attacking from different angles, targeting Jacoby’s body before snapping his head back with crisp punches and high-volume combinations. Sensing his opponent fading, the unbeaten prospect unleashed a crushing right hand that flowed into a left high kick, sending Jacoby crashing to the canvas.
Although the veteran managed to regain his feet, “Kubik” swarmed with unanswered punches, forcing the referee to wave off the contest with just 11 seconds remaining in Round 2.
The statement victory improved Muhammad Saidov to a perfect 10-0 as a professional while earning the highly touted prospect an impressive debut win. Meanwhile, Jacoby fell to 22-10-1, seeing his three-fight winning streak come to an end.
