Sean Strickland Shares Positive Injury Update, Thanks Joe Rogan

Longtime UFC commentator Joe Rogan has helped Sean Strickland find the perfect clinic where the latter can treat his shoulder injury (muscle tear) without going under the knife.

Strickland, the current and two-time UFC middleweight champion, had suffered a shoulder injury before his UFC 328 title fight. However, that didn’t stop him from dethroning Khamzat Chimaev.

After reclaiming the title, Strickland also revealed that he broke his nose during the bout.

Sean Strickland undergoes stem cell therapy for a “Real small tear”

If Sean Strickland had to undergo surgery for the AC separation, he would take longer to return to training and also to the octagon. However, with Joe Rogan’s advice and access to the best treatment facility, “Tarzan” is now expected to recover much faster.

In a recent clip uploaded on Strickland’s Instagram, one of the doctors at Ways2Well’s (the clinic Sean Strickland visited) described the former’s injury after an MRI, and also how they are going to treat it:

“We got the MRI done. You have an AC separation and a small tear in one of the muscles in your shoulder… So we are going to use stem cell therapy.”

Meanwhile, “Tarzan” added:

“Real small tear. Ways2Well, they are going to fix me up. Joe Rogan got me on this place; he swears by it. We’re gonna get back in the cage soon.”

Rogan, a longtime advocate of stem cell therapy, has often spoken about its benefits on his podcast. Earlier this year, he also visited the same clinic (Ways2Well) where Strickland is receiving treatment to undergo plasmapheresis therapy.

Strickland could be running it back with Khamzat Chimaev next, as “Borz” has requested the UFC for an immediate title rematch. Dana White has yet to decide if he will give Chimaev the opportunity right away or ask him to wait and book top contender Nassourdine Imavov to run it back with “Tarzan” later this year.
