The UFC light-heavyweight title picture could be completely changed after UFC on FOX 14 in Sweden; Alexander Gustafsson once again risks his number one spot, this time against dangerous Blackzilians knockout artist Anthony Johnson. “Rumble” punched his ticket to the huge fight in January with a dominant decision over Phil Davis, and a crushing KO over Antonio Rogerio Nogueira.
“”The Mauler” stayed active after his first fight with Jon Jones at UFC 165, by knocking out local hard man Jimi Manuwa in London. The impressive pummelling earned Gus another crack at Jones, this time at UFC 178, but an injury to the Swede meant that Daniel Cormier now has the shot.
Gustafsson has the slight reach advantage over “Rumble” on the night, but “The Mauler” enjoys the huge bonus of fighting on home soil. Will the fans in the Tele2 Arena in Stockholm, Sweden give Gus the added boost to weather an early storm? Perhaps AJ is actually in over his head here…
Maybe you think this will go down to the wire, or that Johnson will simply blast the hometown hero. Take a vote and have your say below!
