“”Smooth’s” potential defection to a rival promotion like Bellator or even ONE Championship raises a very interesting topic in this era of the Reebok sponsorship deal, which has many fighters questioning their employment with the UFC because of the ridiculously low sponsorship income they now make.

Seeing how his pay was about to decrease, high-profile former UFC light heavyweight Phil Davis already signed with Bellator earlier this year, but Henderson is a former champion whose departure from truly be a sign that fighters are done with the supposedly tyrannical ways of the UFC and their endlessly blasted sponsorship deal.
