Paige VanZant’s Saw-Inspired Horror Flick ‘Skill House’ Gets Official Release Date

Paige VanZant's Saw-Inspired Horror Film 'Skill House' Gets Official Release Date

After sitting in limbo for the last two years, Paige VanZant’s horror film Skill House has finally received a release date.

First announced back in summer 2022, Skill House is finally set for a theatrical release on July 11, where it will go head-to-head with James Gunn’s highly anticipated Superman film, per a report from Deadline.

In Skill House, a group of influencers wake up in a magnificent mansion, only to discover they’re actually trapped in a deranged popularity contest. Each competitor must do whatever it takes to gain as many views as possible, and whoever has the lowest number at the end of each round dies in painfully brutal fashion.

With a synopsis like that, it should come as no surprise that the film is helmed by Saw X and Jigsaw director Josh Stolberg. Skill House stars Neal McDonough, McCarrie McCausland, Curtis ’50 Cent’ Jackson, and, of course, former UFC fighter Paige VanZant, along with real-life social media stars Bryce Hall and Hannah Stocking.

Horror fans promised to have a bloody good time with Paige VanZant and the cast of skill house

While Skill House may be lacking in originality and star power, the film will reportedly have some pretty gnarly kills for horror fans looking for a pre-October gorefest. During the film’s 2022 production, a camera operator allegedly passed out while shooting an especially bloody sequence.

When Entertainment Weekly reached out to confirm the story, producer Ryan Kavanaugh was more than happy to share all the details.

“When it happened, it was nighttime, dimly lit, and we were in the middle of filming a frightening scene that involved a lot of blood,” he said. “One of our camera operators literally dropped and passed out. The camera broke, an on-set medic came and tended to him, and we broke for almost an hour.”
