Ex-UFC star Paige VanZant books return fight at GFL Los Angeles against Randi Field
Former UFC strawweight and flyweight contender, Paige VanZant is set for her return to mixed martial arts competition — booking a pairing with former Bellator MMA fighter, Randi Field at a GFL event in Los Angeles, California in May.
VanZant, a former contender and main event star during her run with the UFC, most recently competed in mixed martial arts back in 2021.

And suffering a first round armbar submission loss to Brazilian contender, Amanda Ribas in Abu Dhabi, UAE — VanZant departed the promotion following the completion of her contractual obligations.
Since her departure from the Octagon, Oregon native, VanZant has twice featured in bare knuckle fighting with the BKFC (Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship), losing back-to-back main event fights against Britain Hart and former UFC rival, Rachael Ostovich.

However, as per an official press release from the GFL this evening, Paige VanZant has booked her first outing with the newly-launched promotion, taking on Canadian fighter, Randi Field at the strawweight limit.
“OFFICIALLY OFFICIAL: 31 fights. 2 nights. 6 teams. 1 global stage,” GFL posted on X this evening. “The first GFL Season launches in Los Angeles with a two-day team vs team MMA mega-event at the iconic Shrine Auditorium – May 24 & 25. Tickets will be on sale in April, stay tuned!”
During her Octagon tenure, VanZant headlined on two separate occasions, landing victories over the likes of Bec Rawlings, Alex Chambers, Felice Herrig, and Kailin Curran to name a few.

Herself boasting a 5-1 professional mixed martial arts record, Field most recently competed under the WXC banner back in October of last year, extending her winning run to three fights with a first round knockout win over Kyna Sisson.
