Mochamed Machaev made quick work of Niko Samsonidse in the Oktagon 83 headliner to claim the promotion’s vacant featherweight title.
Near the 90-second mark of the opening round, Machaev connected with a check left hook that sent Samsonidse crashing to the canvas. Machaev wasted no time jumping on his man, unleashing a flurry of shots. Before long, one of them got through, putting Samsonidse to sleep.
Immediately recognizing that Samsonidse was no longer in a position to defend himself, the referee quickly stepped in and stopped the contest less than two minutes in.
