Nick Hein Announces Retirement From MMA After UFC Stockholm Loss

Nick Hein

Nick Hein took a bad beating at UFC Stockholm yesterday (Sat. June 1, 2019).

The finish was one of many on the night in Sweden. However, Hein seems to have made his final walk to the UFC Octagon. Following his TKO defeat to Frank Camacho, Hein has announced his retirement from mixed martial arts (MMA) competition. He made the news official on his Facebook page overnight:

“20 years of Judo. Ten years in the national team. One decade of MMA, 5 years in the UFC. I am ready for the next chapter. Thanks to everyone. I am looking for the future,” Hein said.

Hein has been fighting professionally in MMA since 2009. He signed with the UFC in 2014, at one point racking up a three-fight win streak. However, after his loss to Comacho last night, Hein now finds himself on a three-fight losing skid, two coming by way of finish.
