MMA World Reacts as Mauricio Ruffy Brutally Humiliates Michael Chandler at UFC Freedom 250
Mauricio Ruffy did not give Michael Chandler a chance to return to winning ways in front of his home crowd at UFC Freedom 250.
The lightweight contest of 3 rounds ended in the first frame with Ruffy securing a stoppage victory over “Iron.”
When the fight began, Chandler circled perfectly and tried his best to stay outside Ruffy’s firing range. However, Ruffy remained patient and waited for the perfect countering opportunities.
Meanwhile, “Iron” attempted takedowns but never fully committed.
In the final minute of the first round, the 29-year-old dropped Chandler with a perfectly timed wheel kick and an uppercut. The Brazilian sniper’s power proved too much for the 40-year-old. Just when it seemed Chandler might survive the round, Ruffy gave him zero chance to recover. With a series of heavy punches, he secured the TKO win as Chandler collapsed on the South Lawn.
