We couldn’t make a list of the most known MMA fighters who use cannabis without mentioning the famous Diaz brothers. Nick and Nate Diaz are two of the most popular MMA fighters in history, who are well-known cannabis users.

Unfortunately for Nick Diaz, he was a victim of the harsh drug testing rules. After multiple positive tests for cannabis, Diaz was served with a severe 5-year suspension that killed his fighting career.

Nate Diaz has also tested positive in the past, but in classic Diaz fashion, he let everyone know he DGAF. The Diaz brothers have always been open about their cannabis use and will continue using and enjoying.

Matt Riddle

Matt Riddle was another of the most known MMA fighters who use cannabis. Riddle showed immense potential, who had all, but one of his professional fights within the UFC.

Unfortunately, Riddle fought in the UFC when they tested for cannabis and tested positive, not once, but twice. The positive tests not only cost Matt wins and money, but also led to his UFC release.

UFC veteran and favorite of hardcore fans is another one of the most known MMA fighters who use cannabis. Like the Diaz brother, Green has been very open about his cannabis use.

In one interview, Bobby claimed that he smokes 15 blunts a day even during camps when he’s drug tested. Many fans didn’t believe Green’s claims, but he proved his claim on an episode of the JRE podcast.

For over three hours, Bobby sat with Joe talking about his life and fighting career, while smoking the whole time. This episode put those claims of Green lying about his smoking habits to rest.

Sean O’Malley

O’Malley is also an avid user of cannabis, who claims that the flower gives him hyper focus when he trains. He doesn’t just smoke it to relax, but also to give him an extra edge in his training.

Sean has shown in numerous videos on Instagram and TikTok of him smoking while hitting mitts and before sparring rounds. This approach seems to be working for him as he is the reigning and defending bantamweight champ.
