Michael Bisping vs Luke Rockhold may have the media buzzing for the feud, but “The Count” says his head is clear….

UFC middleweights Michael Bisping and Luke Rockhold will throw down in Sydney on November 8th, finally settling their longstanding war of words. “Rocky” crossed over to the promotion back in 2013, and has been thoroughly entrenched in an entertaining beef with “The Count” from day one.

After his impressive win over Cung Le in Macau, Bisping looks to be performing better than ever. Talking with Metro.co.uk, the brash Brit explains that the beef with Rockhold will not get in the way when the octagon door closes:

“What matters – the only thing that matters – is winning. It’s nice to entertain the fans and to gain new ones, especially from the States, but on the night…that’s all that matters. I’m an emotional fighter, that’s no secret. But it can be detrimental, I’m going into this fight with a clear head. It’s not personal, it’s physical.”

Rockhold has racked up two straight first round finishes since getting clocked in his promotional debut against Vitor Belfort. Tim Boetsch and Costa Phillipou have proved to be little more than cannon fodder for the former Strikeforce champion. That being said, Bisping feels he has the AKA product’s number:

‘You’ve got to have a gameplan and you’ve got to work on things in addition to your strengths. There are similarities between Cung Le and Rockhold. They’re both primarily kickboxers, southpaws – in some ways they crossover perfectly. Rockhold is younger and more athletic, of course. If I fight the best I can, I will win this fight.”

So Bisping once again finds himself on the brink of the title picture, and a win over Luke Rockhold is surely the portal to a title eliminator fight, at the least. After eight years in the UFC, will Bisping finally get his much awaited title shot?
