Frédéric Vosgröne vs. Karlos Vémola Announced for OKTAGON 94 Stadium Show

Frédéric Vosgröne will take on Karlos Vémola in an 89kg catchweight bout at OKTAGON 94, set for Deutsche Bank Park in Frankfurt on September 26. The meeting places the unbeaten German grappler opposite one of OKTAGON MMA’s defining Czech stars during the promotion’s 10-year anniversary series.

Vosgröne enters at 5-0 with five finishes and has built a large following since joining OKTAGON in April 2025. Known as “The Neanderthal,” he arrived from a decorated Brazilian jiu-jitsu background, including IBJJF competition, and has transferred that control-heavy approach into MMA. None of his opponents have reached the end of the second round, giving him a record that has moved quickly from niche interest to a major German draw.

The Frankfurt fight is a sharp change in level. Vémola, 38-9, has competed across a far deeper pool of established names and has been part of OKTAGON’s story from its early years. “The Terminator” is a former OKTAGON middleweight and light heavyweight champion, and his return follows his trilogy-closing win over Attila Végh at OKTAGON 72, where he claimed the promotion’s Infinity belt.

For Vosgröne, the appeal is clear, Vémola brings experience, physical grappling and a reputation built in championship fights. For Vémola, it is a chance to step into a major stadium show against a German fighter whose popularity has surged well beyond the usual prospect track. Deutsche Bank Park has a stated 60,000-seat setup for the event, giving the bout a scale rarely attached to a non-title catchweight contest in European MMA.

The event will also feature a welterweight contest between Frankfurt’s Max Coga and Christian Jungwirth. Christian Eckerlin, another major name in German MMA, is scheduled to compete in his hometown, while lightweight prospect Fedor Duric is due to face former UFC fighter Marc Diakiese in a step-up bout.
