Marvin Vettori Calls For Sparring Session With ‘Fake’ Jake Paul

Marvin Vettori

Marvin Vettori is the latest UFC fighter to take shots at Jake Paul.

‘The Problem Child’ has carved out a five-fight professional boxing career but is yet to face an opponent with a background in boxing. Paul has fought a fellow YouTuber, former NBA player as well as two UFC veterans in Ben Askren and Tyron Woodley (x2)

After sensationally KO’ing Woodley on December 18, Paul called out a bunch of elite-level UFC fighters including Conor McGregor, Jorge Masvidal, and Kamaru Usman. However, the main target of his social media trash talk has been UFC president Dana White, who he has often berated for what he perceives as the mistreatment of UFC athletes.

Paul has vowed to quit boxing and sign with the UFC if White agrees to increase fighter pay and offer long-term medical care to anyone fighting in MMA’s premier promotion. White seems to have brushed off the 24-year-olds challenge and simply stated that he wants to test Paul for performance-enhancing drugs – something Paul is willing to agree to under the right circumstances.

Marvin Vettori Doesn’t Think Fake Paul Goes Six Rounds With Him

All of Paul’s social media talk seems to be rubbing one UFC middleweight contender up the wrong way.

Vettori took to Twitter on Tuesday to call for a sparring session with Paul who he thinks is “fake.”

“Hei Fake Paul @jakepaul let’s set up a sparring,” Vettori wrote. “I’ll match any bet you want. You claim anybody, anytime, anywhere but you won’t go further then 6 rounds I promise you that. Put your nuts on the table, I wanna feel if you can really box. #FakePaul #theitaliandream”

Vettori is coming off the biggest win of his MMA career after beating Paulo Costa over five rounds last time out. ‘The Italian Dream’ is currently without a date or opponent for his next fight but certainly seems to be on the cusp of another middleweight title shot.
