David Martinez Outworks Marlon ‘Chito’ Vera to Claim Dominant Decision Win – UFC Mexico Highlights
David Martinez extended his unbeaten streak to 10 with a dominant victory over Marlon ‘Chito’ Vera at UFC Mexico.
From the get-go, it was clear that Martinez was the faster fighter. As Vera relentlessly pursued, Martinez did an excellent job of skirting around the cage, preventing ‘Chito’ from getting off any sort of offense in the first round. That continued into the second, though Vera nearly caught Martinez with a head kick.
With that being Vera’s only success through the first two stanzas, the one-time title challenger walked into the third round in desperate need of a finish.
Unfortunately, that moment would never come as Martinez stayed just out of range, allowing him to leave Mexico City with the biggest W of his mixed martial arts career.
