Ronaldo ‘Jacare’ Souza and his manager like the idea of fighting Yushin Okami

Following his impressive performance with a dominant submission finish of Chris Camozzi in what was ultimately his UFC debut, Dana White recently shared his opinion on who he thought should be next for the former Strikeforce Middleweight Champion Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza, stating that he would most likely pair him up with Yushin Okami.

According to Jacare and his manager, it all seems like a great idea and they would gladly accept the challenge if offered formally.

Souza’s manager Gilberto Faria spoke with MMAFighting.com and informed them that he had recently contacted UFC matchmaker Joe Silva to inform him that they like the idea and would accept the fight with no issues:

“It is up to them now to make that happen”

This is one fight that will be very interesting, with a primarily submission based game and experience versus a big, tough, wrestling and judo expert in Okami.

Both fighters seem to have the ability to neutralize their opponents offensive capabilites. With grappling skills evening out somewhat between the two of them, it could possibly come down to simply who is either better or has improved more on the feet. But we’ll just have to wait and see.
