Iwo Baraniewski Delivers Insane 28-Second Knockout of Austen Lane – UFC London Highlights
Iwo Baraniewski wasted no time getting his eighth straight victory at UFC London.
Mere seconds into the opening round, Baraniewski connected with a booming overhand right that had his opponent, Austen Lane, on wobbly legs. Following up the shot with a nasty left, Lane hit the mat. Clearly unable to defend himself, the referee immediately stepped in, bringing a quick halt to their light heavyweight clash.
Official Result: Iwo Baraniewski def. Austen Lane via TKO (overhand right) at 0:28 of Round 1.
With the win, Baraniewski keeps his ‘O’ intact, moving to 8-0 in his mixed martial arts career, 2-0 inside the Octagon. Lane was quick to protest the stoppage, but instant replay left no doubt that the referee made the right decision in bringing an end to the contest.
The defeat dropped Lane to a disastrous 1-5 under the UFC banner. He has now lost his last three.
