Ian Garry hits out at Joaquin Buckley after mocking his wife: ‘It’s just desperation’

Ian Garry has hit out at welterweight rival, Joaquin Buckley, after the latter claimed his wife, Layla Anna-Lee arranged to meet up with him after her husband’s fight at UFC Kansas City over the course of the weekend.
Headlining the promotion’s return to Missouri, Garry would land himself back in the winner’s enclosure in dominant fashion, turning in a unanimous decision success.

Reacting to St. Louis knockout ace, Buckley’s outlandish claims, Garry claimed the former was just looking to angle and needle his way into a fight against him in the future.

“It’s just desperation. That’s all it is. It’s quite sad. He can’t generate enough talk about himself by doing the stuff he does, so he needs to try to piggyback off other people,” Ian Garry told Ariel Helwani for Uncrowned. “It’s ok though. Let him be him.”
