Dillon Danis Offers To Pay $1 Million To Fight Ben Askren

Dillon Danis

There’s no denying that two of the most outspoken personalities in mixed martial arts (MMA) now are Ben Askren and Dillon Danis.

Askren recently made his UFC debut with a highly controversial submission win over Robbie Lawler at March 2’s UFC 235. Bellator MMA’s Danis, on the other hand, has been on the sidelines serving his suspension for his role in the UFC 229 post-fight brawl.

The talented Brazilian jiu-jitsu champion made his pro MMA debut last year and hasn’t fought since. He also hasn’t given any interviews since UFC 229; that is, until today. Danis appeared on “Ariel Helwani‘s MMA Show” to discuss his potential MMA return. While he fights for Bellator, Danis said he’s willing to pay million to fight Askren because he’d ‘tap him so easily’:

“I would tap him so easy, Ariel, it’s actually a joke. He’s so unathletic and he’s so bad on the ground.”

Danis also claimed that Askren had ‘pillow fists’ and he will be the first guy to beat him in MMA:

This fight is obviously far out of the realm of reality when it comes to booking it. Danis is a featherweight with one professional bout fighting in another organization.

Askren, meanwhile, is campaigning to skyrocket himself to the top of the UFC welterweight division following his successful Octagon debut, albeit controversially.

So Danis is back stirring up some trouble, but this fight is a pipe dream at best.
