Benoit Saint-Denis Delivers Dominant Second-Round TKO Over Dan Hooker – UFC 325 Highlights
Benoit Saint-Denis continued his climb up the lightweight rankings with a dominant performance against Dan Hooker in the UFC 325 co-main event.
Saint-Denis got off to a fast start, looking for an early single-leg takedown against Hooker. Saint-Denis momentarily got the ‘Hangman’ down, but Hooker scrambled his way back up and made Saint-Denis pay with a stinging front kick to the body.

Hooker defending another takedown attempt, but a well-executed judo throw put Hooker’s back on the mat and Saint-Denis into side control. Saint-Denis went fishing for a kimura, but Hooker managed to fight his way out of the hold and get upright again. Unfortunately for Hooker, that didn’t last long as Saint-Denis landed another takedown with less than a minute in the stanza.
Hooker survived the ensuing onslaught but walked back to his corner with a cut near his hairline.

It only got worse for Hooker in the second after Saint-Denis secured another quick takedown and immediately transitioned into full mount. Saint-Denis cinched in a tight arm-triangle choke, but Hooker refused to tap out. That prompted Saint-Denis to relinquish the hold and use his fists to force referee Herb Dean to step in and stop the fight.
