UFC Belgrade: Nina Milosevic Shuts Down Hailey Cowan With Vicious Body Shot Finish In UFC Debut
Nina Milosevic made an unforgettable first impression by defending home turf in devastating fashion.
Competing in front of her fellow Serbians, the bantamweight newcomer earned a first-round TKO over Hailey Cowan at UFC Belgrade.
The opening minutes featured a measured, striking battle as both fighters looked to establish their range. Cowan found success with straight combinations and body kicks, but “Queen Beast” remained composed, patiently picking her shots and mixing attacks to both the head and body.
As the round progressed, the Serbian began targeting Cowan’s midsection with pinpoint accuracy. A crushing straight right to the body visibly hurt “All Hail”, forcing her to retreat as Milosevic sensed the finish. Moments later, she landed another perfectly placed right hand to the same area, sending Cowan collapsing to the canvas in obvious pain.
With Cowan unable to intelligently defend herself, the referee stepped in to award Nina Milosevic at 3:41 of the first round.
The statement finish improved “Queen Beast” to 9-1 as a professional while extending her winning streak to nine consecutive fights. Meanwhile, Cowan’s difficult UFC run continued, as the former Contender Series standout slipped to 7-6 overall after suffering her fourth straight defeat.
