Dan Hooker Alleges Arman Tsarukyan Broke His Nose, ‘Ahalkalakets’ Claps Back

Dan Hooker has alleged that Arman Tsarukyan broke his nose with the headbutt at the UFC Qatar weigh-ins. However, Hooker didn’t get emotional on stage, as it would lead to the fight getting cancelled.

On fight night, Hooker was submitted by Tsarukyan in Round 2.

Currently, the 29-year-old is busy with his PR run as he does not have a fight upcoming. Hooker, on the other hand, will be looking to return to the win column when he meets Benoit Saint-Denis in the co-main event at UFC 325 this weekend.

Appearing on The Ariel Helwani Show, ‘The Hangman’ admitted that the Armenian broke his nose before their fight. Hooker recalled that after the UFC Qatar bout, when he went to the hospital, he was informed by the staff about his broken nose.

“When this c*nt f*cking headbutted me at the weigh-in and broke my f*cking nose, it pissed me right off. But it’s like, you can’t get emotional at that stage of the fight. Obviously, mate, I was fuming. I wanted that back, but you just have to brush it off; you have to put that in the back of your mind, but yeah, I was steaming, bro. That threw me off for sure.”

Headbutting Dan Hooker was one of the many reasons why the UFC didn’t grant Tsarukyan a title shot, as per Dana White.

Arman Tsarukyan responds to Dan Hooker’s allegation

After Dan Hooker claimed that Arman Tsarukyan broke his nose, the latter responded on X by posting a photo showing Hooker’s face before and after the fight, trying to imply that it was ‘Ahalkalakets’ who disfigured the 35-year-old’s face and bloodied him up inside the octagon.

Despite the headbutt drama, there appears to be no bad blood between the two. During the UFC Qatar octagon interview, Tsarukyan had thanked Hooker for stepping in to fight him, and alleged that no other 155-pounder on the roster wanted to face the number one contender.

Hooker, too, has shown respect in return and confessed that Tsarukyan has ‘won him over as a fan.’ During the same interview with Ariel Helwani, ‘The Hangman’ opined that the 29-year-old deserves a title shot. However, the promotion is denying him the opportunity and wasting his prime.
