Charles Oliveira Released From Medical Care Free Of Major Injuries

UFC Brasilia

While he’s not out of the woods yet, things are looking up for Charles Oliveira. This past Sunday night (Aug. 23, 2015) at UFC Fight Night 74, “Do Bronx’s” bout with Max Holloway came to a halt when the Brazilian suffered an injury. It was serious enough for Oliveira to be stretchered out the arena.

Luckily for “Do Bronx,” preliminary results show negative results on major injuries to the chest, neck, or throat. The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) revealed the news on its official website. As a result, Oliveira has been released from the hospital and is set for a follow up with his local physician.

Oliveira’s short night inside the Octagon was an unfortunate situation for the Brazilian. He looked to extend his winning streak to five and possibly earn himself a shot at the 145-pound title. At the very least, a convincing win could’ve pushed him to a number one contender’s bout.
