Chaos Erupts After Anthony Taylor vs. Matty Floyd Ruled a No Contest - Fury vs. Hall Highlights

Anthony Taylor charged after Matty Floyd following a controversial end to their light heavyweight title tilt at Misfits Boxing: Fury vs. Hall on Saturday.

Controversy reared its ugly head right out of the gate after Taylor complained that Floyd had headbutted him in the opening minute of their co-main event clash. Animosity continued to grow in the third when Taylor shoved Floyd following the bell — likely frustrated by getting dominated by ‘The Jedi’ for much of the first three rounds.

Floyd’s dominance continued in the fourth when he had Taylor reeling, zapping the last of the defending champ’s gas tank.

Things came to a crashing halt 58 seconds into the fifth round when Taylor complained that his eyes were burning. Punching the mat in frustration, the referee ultimately opted to rule the bout a no contest, leaving us with an anticlimactic end to an absolute mess of a fight.

Official Result: Matty Floyd vs. Anthony Taylor ruled no-contest at 0:58 of Round 5 due to an eye injury.

But things were far from over.

Out of nowhere, Taylor bull-rushed his opponent, instigating an all-out brawl inside the ring. Before long, both sides were separated, but things continued to get heated backstage.
