Anderson Silva Moving Well During Freddie Roach Sparring Session

Former UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva has had a somewhat awe-inspiring career; ‘The Spider’ spent a good chunk of his career dominating the middleweight division of the promotion that he had become a poster boy for. His sudden and shocking loss of the championship title was brutally real.

After being KO’d by Chris Weidman at UFC 162, Silva showed his mortality a second time at the rematch. ‘The Spider’ suffered a broken leg against ‘The All-American’ at UFC 168, signifying the start of a new battle for Silva; a potentially long and very tough rehabilitation from the injury, but things have moved very quickly as the above video shows.

Just four months removed from a possible career ending injury, and Silva has been sparring, rolling on the mat, and throwing high kicks on the pads. Legendary trainer Freddie Roach is pictured in the video from Silva’s Instagram, and it seems the ex-boss of 185lbs. is making good on his promise to make a come back.

Meanwhile, the division hasn’t really moved too far; Weidman is still champion, Belfort is hoping for another shot, but the surging Lyoto Machida and Jacare Souza are making a welcome change. Perhaps a single win to finish off his amazing legacy is what ‘The Spider’ seeks?
