Gillian Robertson Grind Out Decisive Win Over Amanda Lemos – UFC Vegas 114 Highlights
Gillian Robertson continued her quest for a strawweight title opportunity, defeating Amanda Lemos in a three-round war at UFC Vegas 114.
After struggling to punch her way inside, Robertson was finally able to close the distance and score the first takedown of the fight just past the halfway point of the opening round. However, it was Lemos who would find success on the ground, lighting up Robertson with a series of nasty elbows before nearly locking in a kimura.
Robertson ultimately scrambled her way out of the hold and racked up a bit more control time, but there’s no denying that the first five minutes belonged to Lemos.

Robertson didn’t take nearly as long to get Lemos down in the second, securing a takedown in the opening minute of the stanza.
‘The Savage’ would secure more than four minutes of control time in the round while fishing for a slew of submissions. Lemos worked her way up in the final few seconds of the round and attempted a late flurry, but it wasn’t enough to swing the scorecards in her favor.
That sent us to a third round, with the fight likely tied up at 1-1.

It was more of the same in round three, though there was a moment when Lemos appeared to have Robertson caught in an arm bar.
Unable to force the tap out, Robertson regained control and rode out the final two minutes, securing a hard-fought decision victory over the one-time title challenger.
Official Result: Gillian Robertson def. Amanda Lemos via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28).
