Ali Abdelaziz

Mixed martial arts (MMA) manager Ali Abdelaziz is no stranger to bantering with fighters.

He’s also no stranger to getting physical with them either, and he just did it again. Abdelaziz was captured on video at this week’s Professional Fighters League (PFL) 7 show, as security separated him from former UFC lightweight champion Anthony Pettis. Check out the clip below.

Also, according to MMA Junkie, Abdelaziz was involved in a backstage scuffle with fellow MMA manager Abe Kawa. A PFL official did, in fact, confirm there was a backstage altercation between the two at the Mandalay Bay Events Center, but couldn’t offer specific details on the matter.

“We are aware that there was an incident that occurred. They went and checked it out. The Metropolitan police and the hotel security were handling the situation, and we will be following up with them to get more details later.”

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department released a statement on the matter as well, noting someone involved was, in fact, detained, but later released after cooperating and issued a citation.

“Two subjects were involved in a brief physical altercation where a battery was committed. LVMPD officers were on scene and temporarily detained one of subjects during the investigation. That subject was cooperative.

“He was issued a citation and released. No enforcement action was taken regarding the second subject, who was also cooperative. There were no significant injuries.”
