UFC Octagon girl Arianny Celeste is set to have her day in court

UFC octagon girl Arianny Celeste’s domestic violence case will be heard in court on July 2, while prosecutors review the case against Celeste and her boyfriend, Praveen Chandra, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

Celeste did not appear before Las Vegas Justice of the Peace Melissa Saragosa on June 1, but was represented by her attorney, Richard Schonfeld on Friday. Schonfeld and partner David Chesnoff have represented several celebrities in Las Vegas criminal cases, including hotel heiress Paris Hilton.

According to a Las Vegas police report, the two were arrested for battery charges after a physical altercation in a Wynn Las Vegas hotel room on May 26. Celeste says Chandra choked her several times and Chandra said that Celeste kicked him in the nose.

UFC president Dana White stated on the day of Arianny Celeste‘s arrest at a press conference following UFC 146: “Arianny is our baby. She has been with us for over five years. She is a good girl and is an amazing ambassador for the UFC. I don’t know all the details of what happened, but we have her back and support her 100 percent.”
The UFC is certainly putting Arianny Celeste up front and center as you can see in this video.

It sounds like a case of self-defense on Arianny’s part.
