Bellator 146 Results: Melvin Manhoef KO’s Hisaki Kato

It’s was once again fight day here at LowKickMMA, and the talent on display tonight (Friday, November 20th, 2015) will come from WinStar World Casino in Thackerville, Oklahoma, in the form of Bellator 146. Headlining the card are Hisaki Kato and Melvin Manhoef, but there’s a whole bunch of great fights also taking place on the preliminary section of the card.

Hisaki Kato and Melvin Manhoef met in a middleweight bout as the main event of Bellator 146. The fight was action packed as both men kept the fight standing. Manhoef starts throwing bombs and tagged him with a left hook that put this fight on ice in the very first round.

Bubba Jenkins and Jordan Parsons met in a featherweight bout. This was a fun fight that saw a mix of striking and grappling. Jenkins won the fight by split decision after controlling two of the three rounds.

Ricky Rainey and Chidi Njokuani met in a welterweight bout. This fight was a clinch fest to sum it up. Njokuani controlled the majority of the fight with clinching while working him over with knees and strikes. It was enough to earn him a unanimous decision victory.

Brandon Girtz and Derek Campos met in a lightweight bout at Bellator 146. This one did not take long as Girtz tagged him with two right hooks that put Campos on the ground then finished him off with hammer fists.

Opening the main card on Spike TV was Houston Alexander vs. Guilherme Viana in a light heavyweight bout. Guilherme Viana dominated the fight with his striking as he almost finished Houston Alexander in the first two rounds. Alexander never showed any danger towards Viana in this fight. The fight was called after the second-round by the doctor after Alexander suffered a nasty looking cut over his right eye.
