TUF Live Finale: medical suspensions

The Nevada State Athletic Commission has suspended 9 fighters from The Ultimate Fighter Live Finale for medical reasons, according to MMAWeekly.com. Martin Kampmann and Jake Ellenberger, who fought in the Main Event, and the Ultimate Fighter winner, Michael Chiesa, are at the top of the list.

None of the injuries were particularly obvious on the night of the fights and are mostly for precautionary reasons.

Ultimate Fighter Live Finale Medical Suspensions:

Martin Kampmann is suspended until August 1 with no contact until July 17 due to facial lacerations.

Jake Ellenberger is suspended until July 2 with no contact prior to June 23 for precautionary reasons.

Michael Chiesa must have his left hand x-rayed and have it cleared by a doctor or he is suspended until November 29.

Pat Schilling must have his right hand and right shoulder cleared by a doctor or he is suspended until November 29. He faces a minimum period of no contact until July 2.

John Cofer is suspended until August 1 with no contact until to July 17 for precautionary reasons.

Chris Tickle is suspended until July 17 with no contact until July 2 due to left eye and lip lacerations.

Cristiano Marcello is suspended until July 17 with no contact until July 2 for precautionary reasons.

Sam Sicilia is suspended until July 17 with no contact until July 2 due to a lower lip cut.

Jeremy Larsen is suspended until July 17 with no contact until July 2 for precautionary reasons.

The Ultimate Fighter Live Finale took place at the Pearl at the Palms in Las Vegas, Nevada on Friday, June 1, and was broadcast live on FX, with the preliminary fights on FuelTV.
