Video: Darren Till Scores Violent Comeback KO Against Aaron Chalmers in BKFC Debut

Darren Till Knocks Out Aaron Chalmers in BKFC Debut at BKFC 90

Darren Till survived a knockdown and answered with a brutal one-punch knockout in his BKFC debut, stopping Aaron Chalmers just 22 seconds into the second round at BKFC 90 in Birmingham. The light heavyweight co-main event took place at the Utilita Arena on May 30, 2026, marking Till’s first appearance in bare-knuckle competition.

The fight started poorly for Till. Early in round one, Chalmers landed a clean left hand that sent Till’s knee to the canvas. The referee administered a mandatory standing eight count, and Chalmers held a clear edge in the opening two minutes. Chalmers entered the bout 2–0 in BKFC and had most recently beaten Jack Fincham in September 2025.

Till did not let the knockdown define the fight. He slowed his pace, used a controlled jab to gauge distance, and waited for an opening. At the start of round two, he loaded up on a left hand that connected flush with Chalmers’ head. Chalmers collapsed face-first and could not beat the count. The referee waved off the contest at 22 seconds of the round.

After the stoppage, Till shouted, “I was f*cking made for this shit. I’m built for it,” and added that he wasn’t scared of anyone and wanted to fight everyone in the promotion. He later called himself a “Scouse hillbilly” and gave full respect to Chalmers, pushing back against people who dismiss him as just a reality TV star. Till noted that Chalmers has trained with Leon Edwards and is a real fighter.

Till’s UFC career included a welterweight title challenge and notable wins over Kelvin Gastelum and Stephen “Wonderboy” Thompson. He later struggled in the UFC, going 1–6 in his final seven fights, and left the promotion before testing boxing. In 2025 he fought three boxing matches, beating Anthony Taylor and Darren Stewart before defeating Luke Rockhold to become Misfits Boxing’s first bridgerweight champion. That win over Rockhold was another dominant finish, continuing his undefeated record since leaving MMA.

Chalmers, 39, first gained public attention on “Geordie Shore” before fighting seven bouts in Bellator MMA, which is now defunct. He also faced Floyd Mayweather Jr. in a 2023 boxing exhibition. His BKFC record now stands at 2–1 after the loss to Till.

The matchup had building tension for years. Till and Mike Perry have traded heat for a long time, and fans are already calling for a bare-knuckle showdown between them. Till had hesitated for years before signing with BKFC, but the promotion eventually made an offer he couldn’t refuse. His debut suggests bare knuckle may be a strong fit for his style, especially given his recent knockout success in Misfits Boxing.
