Irish featherweight superstar Conor McGregor will attempt to become quite possibly the UFC’s biggest star when he takes on Chad Mendes for the interim belt in the main event of this Saturday’s (July 11, 2015) UFC 189 pay-per-view (PPV) from Las Vegas, Nevada.

McGregor stormed his way to a title shot with five straight wins in the octagon, with his most recent a bloody stoppage of Dennis Siver at January’s UFC Fight Night 59 from Boston, Massachusetts. But before McGregor was assured his title shot, he stirred up the UFC 145-pound division in a big way by essentially calling out every top-ranked competitor with his unique, creative, and oftentimes brutal brand of trash talk.

That included taking a trip down to Rio de Janeiro for the Brazilian champion’s awaited rematch with Mendes at October 2014’s UFC 179. It turned out to be a classic affair, and the UFC had ‘Notorious’ wired the whole time. Check out the entertaining video above.
