After compiling a very impressive 5-0 UFC record, “The Notorious” Conor McGregor is set for the biggest fight of his life when he faces off with featherweight king Jose Aldo for the title at UFC 189 on July 11, 2015 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Of course McGregor’s electrifying fighting style and finishing ability has contributed to his rapid rise in the MMA world, but his outspoken trash talk has undoubtedly gotten fans intrigued as well. This same trash talk that excites fans, has rubbed some fighters the wrong way, causing McGregor to have his fair share of rivals.

One of McGregor’s more vocal rivals is former title challenger and top contender Chad “Money” Mendes, who has said he would love to shut the Irish sensation up numerous times. However, it also seems as if Mendes’ teammate and Team Alpha Male leader “The California Kid” Urijah Faber has an opinionated view on “The Notorious” one and the Irish faithful.

Appearing on an edition of Team Alpha Male Radio, “The California Kid” noted McGregor’s success and credited him, but at the same time bashed the now title challenger as well as his Irish fans.

“He’s got a whole nation of people that have nothing else to cheer for.”

“I think it’s fun, this sport needs guys like Conor. Conor’s not just a talker he’s a great fighter. He’s a guy that backs up what he says and he’s making headlines. Especially for Ireland, I’ve seen some hot Irish women but all the dudes over there are pretty mangled looking. Conor, just not having freckles and bright red hair makes him like a super male model over there. The ability to not have a face full of freckles and red hair steps his game up tremendously in Ireland. They’ve got a hero and he’s good.”

Wheather people are bashing McGregor or praising him, it’s obvious that everyone is talking about him, and this has contributed to him becoming one of the biggest stars in the UFC and all of MMA.

As for Faber, it was recently announced that he would be headlining UFC Fight Night Manila in May against former lightweight champion Frankie “The Answer” Edgar. It was also reported that Faber would be moving up to featherweight for the highly anticipated bout.

If he stays at 145 pounds, could we see “The California Kid” take on McGregor in the future?
