UFC on FOX 2 Wrap-Up and Bonuses

The UFC held UFC on FOX 2 on Saturday night in Chicago. The event took place in front of a sold out United Center and marked the first time the promotion had held an event in the Chicago area since UFC 90 was held at the Allstate Center in Rosemont, IL. During the event Rashad Evans punched his ticket to face UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones with a win over Phil Davis. Chael Sonnen earned a title shot as well, defeating Michael Bisping, setting up a bout against UFC Middleweight Champion Anderson Silva. Chris Weidman, who took his fight against Demian Maia on less than two weeks notice took home the victory.

The UFC awarded bonuses of $65,000 to the night’s top performers. UFC President Dana White tweeted the bonuses before the night’s main event had come to a close.
