UFC Fight Night 100 Preliminary Card Results: Cezar Ferreira Chokes Out Jack Hermansson

It’s once again fight day here at LowKickMMA, and the talent on display tonight (Saturday, November 19th, 2016) will come in the form of UFC Fight Night 100. Headlining the card are Ryan Bader and Antonio Rogerio Nogueira, but there’s a whole bunch of great fights also taking place on the preliminary section of the card.

Cezar Ferreira vs. Jack Hermansson in a middleweight bout closed the preliminary card on FOX Sports 1. In round 1, they had a feeling out process early. Ferreira looking solid as he continues to press forward and mixing things up nicely with strikes and kicks. Not a ton of action took place in this round. In round 2, Ferreira shot in and took him down early in the round. Ferreira grabbed his neck from top position and locked in an arm triangle choke submission and won the fight.

Gadzhimurad Antigulov and Marcos Rogerio de Lima met in a light heavyweight bout. Antigulov took him down to begin the round but was caught and de Lima locked in a guillotine choke for the win.

Johnny Eduardo and Manny Gamburyan met in a bantamweight bout. In round 1, Gamburyan presses early and was loading up his right hand. Eduardo was working over his legs with kicks. Eduardo had range and was landing some good shots. In round 2, Eduardo landed a straight left hand that dropped Gamburyan and Eduardo finished him on the ground with strikes.

Christian Colombo vs. Luis Henrique in a heavyweight bout opened the FOX Sports 1 preliminary bouts. In round 1, Henrique clinched early with him on the fence. Colombo separated and they started to exchange. Henrique took him down with two minutes to go and got half guard. Henrique smashed his face in with strikes and elbows from guard. Colombo started to bleed from his forehead. Colombo scrambled to his feet but Henrique slammed him down to end the round. In round 2, Henrique took him down and worked him over with strikes from guard. Colombo was a bloody mess. They were a pause in the action for the doctor to check out the cut on Colombo. The doctor gave the green light. Henrique continued to land strikes from top position. In round 3, Henrique took him down as soon as the round started and continued to the beating from guard. Henrique locked in a mounted guillotine choke for the win.

Justin Scoggins vs. Pedro Munhoz in a bantamweight bout finished off the UFC Fight Pass preliminary card. In round 1, Munhoz started out strong and was landing some good leg kicks. Scoggins landed a spinning heel kick then slipped. They scrambled on the ground and got to their feet. Scoggins shot in for a takedown but Munoz grabbed his neck and he pulled out. Scoggins with an excellent combo that he finished with a head kick. In round 2, Scoggins clinched and then let it go early. Scoggins slipped on a kick, Munhoz locked in a guillotine choke and that wraps up this one.

Opening the UFC Fight Pass prelims was Francimar Barroso vs. Darren Stewart in a light heavyweight bout.  Stewart came out and clinched with him right away. Barroso was holding his chin as Stewart was taken down. Stewart finished him with strikes. By looking at the replay, Stewart caught him with a headbutt before getting the takedown.

Bantamweight: Pedro Munhoz def. Justin Scoggins by submission (guillotine choke) at 1:55 of Round 2

Light Heavyweight: Darren Stewart def. Francimar Barroso via TKO (punches) – Round 1, 1:34
